Duble R da Great was just a young kid when his love for music started to rise. His family always found him sitting in front of the T.V. mimicking rappers and bouncing his head to their beats. When he was in the 4th grade, he approached his mother and told her he wanted to be a Rapper/DJ and wanted his own musical equipment. His mother just laughed it off, and said to forget about it. Even though this may have seemed discouraging to him, he let it hit him like a brick wall. This young inspiring rapper and DJ would not let anything get in the way of him pursuing his dream. Duble R da Great who is still known to many as DJ RR7 has progressed in his many years with practice and motivation. He started off as a local DJ in the city of Chicago at local 17+ clubs and then advancing to 21and over clubs and bars. He then pursued a career in Djing in Orlando, FL. While working on his music out there he felt something was missing from his life. He just didn’t know what. He then came back to Chicago to continue to do what he knew best, music. He started finding himself drifting away from the DJ scene and growing in writing and rapping. This then became his main focus. Shortly after building his own personal little studio in a small 2 bedroom apartment. He has linked up with many producers, managers and other local artist to build up his passion. He has done shows opening up for chicago rap sensations Twista, Shawnna ,Hot 2 Def & many more. Known for his hign energy crowd captivating performafances, he is a constant favorite for Parades, charity and outdoor events held at many park disticts much more. He participated in local talent show cases and winning 1st place in many. With 2 projects under his belt Duble R da Great is now working overtime to make sure he gives you guys the best music he can.Continue to look out for Duble R da Great in your very near future!!!
